If you are interested in a Walking Tour in Athens then we can arrange for a licensed tour guide to accompany you at the archaeological sites. All tours are private with a very flexible itinerary. ***Please note that walking tours are recommended to people that are in good physical condition because they involve a fair amount of walking.


Tour 1. Acropolis and Acropolis Museum

includes a visit to The Acropolis (“Parthenon” dedicated to Athena Parthenos, “Erechtheion” dedicated to Athena Polias, “Propylaea” the monumental entrance to the sacred area, “Temple of Athena Nike” dedicated to Athena-Apteros Nike, “Caryatides”, “Herodeon Theater”, the ruins of the “Theater of Dionysus” and finally “Areopagus” [Mars Hill]), a beautiful pedestrian walk along the Dionyssiou Areopagitou street and finally The Acropolis Museum (collections: “Gallery of the Slopes of the Acropolis“, “Archaic Acropolis Gallery“, “Parthenon Gallery“, “Propylea- Athena Nike- Erechtheion” and “From the 5th c. BC to the 5th c. AD). Duration 4h.

Tour 2. Acropolis and Ancient Agoras

includes a visit to The Acropolis (“Parthenon” dedicated to Athena Parthenos, “Erechtheion” dedicated to Athena Polias, “Propylaea” the monumental entrance to the sacred area, “Temple of Athena Nike” dedicated to Athena-Apteros Nike, “Caryatides”, “Herodeon Theater”, the ruins of the “Theater of Dionysus” and finally “Areopagus” [Mars Hill]), The Greek Agora (civic, religious and commercial center of the Athenian life set with appropriate buildings like [Stoa of Attalus] and [Temple of Hephaistus]), and The Roman Agora (where [Tower of Winds] stands which is an octagonal pentelic marble clock tower). Duration 4h.

Tour 3. Acropolis and City Tour

includes a visit to The Acropolis (“Parthenon” dedicated to Athena Parthenos, “Erechtheion” dedicated to Athena Polias, “Propylaea” the monumental entrance to the sacred area, “Temple of Athena Nike” dedicated to Athena-Apteros Nike, “Caryatides”, “Herodeon Theater”, the ruins of the “Theater of Dionysus” and finally “Areopagus” [Mars Hill]). A beautiful pedestrian walk along the Dionyssiou Areopagitou street until you reach The Temple of Zeus (which is the largest ancient temple in Greece in the Corinthian order), The Hadrian’s Arch, and The Panathenaic Stadium ([Kallimarmaro]; the original stadium built in the 1863 for the first modern Olympic games in 1896). Follows a nice walk through The Zappeion Hall, and you will finally visit The Old Palace, The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier & The Changing of The Guards. Duration 4h.
